Ionas Hotel is a carefully restored historical home, located in the heart of the Old Town of Chania. Ionas is a perfect base for guests wishing to explore authentic Chania.
The Venetian and Ottoman elements of this charming building have been restored and thoughtfully recreated to celebrate its heritage. Even the core walls of the building date back to 1538.
The heart of the house showcases a staircase that has been carefully crafted from wood and iron to create a fine example of classic design. The decorative touches of stain-glass windows add to the unique beauty of Ionas house.
However, modern luxuries have not been ignored and each spacious room is equipped with a separate bathroom, featuring a spa bath or hydro-massage shower. The hotel is also fully air-conditioned throughout and all rooms are accessible by elevator.
Ionas Hotel is just 328 feet from the harbor, with many of Chania’s monuments and museums within a short walking distance. The local markets, cafés and restaurants provide plenty of afternoon and evening entertainment.

Both of our junior suites are on the first floor. We have an elevator but there are two small stairs to reach the elevator. Also one of the junior suites has two small stairs to reach the bed.
You can check out as early as you need and we can assist you with the transportation anytime you wish.
Hi, there are available public parking spots around(3- 5minutes distance by foot) the hotel . We can direct accordingly if we know the date and hour of your arrival/

Yes we can arrange a transfer from Chania airport to the hotel and the cost is 35 euros up to 4 people and 55 euros from 5-7 people.
No there is no coffee maker . What coffee maker would you need?
We have a kettle and instant coffee in the room.

Yes you check in. Depending on the time we are either here or send you instructions for an automated check in if that is necessary.
The other alternative to travel around Crete , besides car , is the bus! There are scheduled trips to all the main cities and main attractions.

We have 3 rooms with balcony, two of them are Double room with Balcony and the other one is the Deluxe Double with Balcony. We have two floors in both of our buildings

We do have black out curtains only in our Deluxe rooms.
Nea Hora beach is about 20 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Koum Kapi beach is also close by, about 10 minutes away but it's not organised.
It depends on booking.com . Usually it is the date you proceed with the reservation. Then booking.com charges your card.
Thank you for your inquiry.The deluxe double rooms are both located in our new building and they are not accessible by elevator. They can be either be on first or second floor. The stairs are small. None of those have balconies but they are spacious.
We can assist with your pick up reservation and the cost is 25 euros. Also we can provide you with instructions for an automated check in.
In you room you will find soap,shampoo,conditioner,body lotion.
We do serve breakfast between 1st of April till 31st of October. During winter season we do not serve breakfast as it is stated on our page.
